Cardmaking Workshop at Penny's Beer Garden

Learn basic printmaking techniques at this afternoon workshop under the oak trees at Penny's Beer Garden! All supplies and one drink token is included! You will go home with a new skill and a set of 8 hand-printed cards and envelopes!

Printmaking is simplified to a fun and accessible process for this beginner-level workshop. Students will receive sample designs to print or they can design their own! This workshop will begin with a quick demo of the drawing, carving, and printing process. Students will also learn how to use single prints and repeating patterns with a printmaking block. Students will receive a pack of 8 cards and envelopes to print and give to family and friends. Nothing says love quite like a handmade card!

Age: This class is appropriate for ages 14+.

No experience necessary. Please come to class with ideas for your stamp, or a 3"x3" copy of your image. The Ideal image has bold shapes or lines to make carving easier.

What you'll get: one drink token, set of 8 cards and envelopes, use of tools needed to carve and print, and bragging rights!

Please note: Workshop will be held outdoors. Social distancing and masks will be required when you are not sitting at your workspace.
